The English text of this accessibility statement is a translation. In case of confusion or contradictions between the English and the Dutch versions, the Dutch version takes precedence.

Cultuurconnect makes every effort to make its website(s) and mobile application(s) accessible, in accordance with the Governance Decree of 7 December 2018 which transposes the European Directive 2016/2102.

This accessibility statement applies to the Library Website (Bibliotheekwebsite).

This Library Website almost fully complies with Version 2.1, level AA, of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We aim to meet this standard as fully as possible. We have provided a summary below of where, despite our efforts, complete compliance with the requirements has not yet been achieved or where exemptions apply.

Non-compliance with the governance decree

The contact form contains an image-based CAPTCHA to bar unwanted entries. One can also listen to an audio clip but the quality of this is too inadequate to pass the test. There is currently no other worthy alternative available, which means that the CAPTCHA cannot be removed.

Disproportionate burden

The Library Website facilitates the publication of texts, documents and media by the participating public libraries. Cultuurconnect acts in an awareness-raising manner vis-à-vis the participating libraries but, as manager of the Library Websites, it is impossible for Cultuurconnect to constantly assess the accessibility of the content uploaded by the libraries. It is therefore not impossible that certain documents do not meet all accessibility requirements. You can contact the respective library for an accessible alternative if you encounter any problems. You will find the contact particulars of the library at the bottom of every respective library website.

This accessibility statement was drawn up on 23 September 2020.

It was last revised on 2 March 2021.
